| Comments: My girlfriend saw a Finnish Spitz puppy out for a walk in Vancouver about a year ago. She talked with the owner for awhile and decided that, given the chance, this would be our first dog. After a recent move to Ontario and much searching, we were lucky enough to find a one-time breeder in Tillsonburg whose Spitz' roots came from BC and Oregon. Seija is 3 months young now and it's hard to imagine a life without her. She has been loving and loyal since day one and is wise beyond her years. Interestingly enough, the breed is virtually unrecognized in Ontario. The ONLY person I know who has correctly identified her as a Finnish Spitz is my sister's Finnish boyfriend! One the one hand I feel like everyone should know about this breed but on the other hand it's nice having a puppy that draws so much curiosity... |

| Comments: I just lost my 6.5 year old fawn Dane, Delmar, to an apparent heart attack, this past Sunday while grouse hunting.
He was from Lions Bay BC-raw food fed for three generations and vaccine free.
I also lost my 8.5 year old black Dane to heart disease this past Febuary.
We have a 13.5 year old huskie mix, Magoo, that still keeps up with us hiking, hunting and snowshoeing.
My parents are from Finland and we had a Karelian Bear dog as kids. I have always wanted a Finnish Spitz as they would suit our outdoor lifestyle perfectly. We live in the forests of Northern Ontario not far from Lake Superior. |

I live in mountains of Northern Ontario just off Lake Superior with my wife two cats and two dogs. I hike, snowshoe, fish and hunt grouse with my Great Dane and husky mix.
My next dog will be a Spitz as a I love grouse hunting and I know Spitz's do as well. |

| Comments: Leslie/Joan, what a beautiful website! My daughter just told me about it. Always meant to ask you what the origins of the names "tsankawi" and "jayenn" were. My husband keeps saying Chandler needs a little girl FS to keep him company (since we can't play with him 24 hrs a day--just 10 hrs or so). So keep us in mind for that future mating if you have an abundance of girl puppies, or even one that is only pet/companion quality, i.e., too much white, or something. |
